People left and then we leave

Omelets with ham and cheese

Chicken parmesan and mashed potatoes

Sweet and sour pork

Dan and Laura left early this morning and after breakfast Cory and Grant left as well. We are loosing people fast, Jojo leaves Monday as well. Having fewer people but still cooking the same amount as if there are 16 is great because dinner leftovers become lunch the next day.

Jesse and I decided it was time that we leave as well, we booked a flight for the 22nd.

Sail maker talk

Breakfast sandwiches

Quesadillas, bean salad and onion rings

Burgers with sweet potato fries

I was surprised at how easy it ended up being to fry the onion rings, frying is now a lot easier than I thought. There was a talk up in Rockland about sail making by Nate Wilson, so Robin drove Sam, Katie, Jesse and I up there. I’m really glad I went to the talk, he explained about the different materials and when they developed and why the narrow looms. In the car Robin and Sam talked about the North West passage, they are aiming for 2013.

Change of plans

Crepes

Ham and pineapple melts with black bean pumpkin soup

Moroccan chicken with honeyed veggies and wheat berry cuouscous

Robin now thinks we’ll leave the week before thanksgiving and then I’d have to provision for about three weeks, could take less to get to Puerto Rico though. I also made English muffins for tomorrow’s breakfast, they are huge and absolutely gorgeous.

Lots of snacks

Johnny cakes and sausages

Pulled tea

Thai soup with noodles and fresh spring rolls

Dill onion bread and artichoke dip

Tamale pie

The pulled tea was for snack and everyone really loved it, guess I found a great use for all the cans on condensed milk we have.Went shopping today and was running late on some things because I didn’t get to go till later in the afternoon. Jojo is thinking of leaving soon and we don’t think the boat will leave till after Thanksgiving.

Power out

I woke up and the power was out, Cap was sitting in the galley with his flashlight on the table. We talked for awhile about what to do, we decided to let everyone sleep in awhile and then end the day a little early, so the day was spent cleaning the boat.

Eggs and garlic rice (once the power was back)

BLT’s and coleslaw

Toasted oatmeal cookies

Paprika chicken and spatzel
