The Small Things

The half round was finally finished today! There is no more stupid caulking or drilling to be done on it, Grant and I finished it this morning.

Then I went on to doing some touch up paint on the starboard forward hatch while Grant touched up some paint on the bowsprit cheeks. Later I helped Sveta finish oiling some do-hickie on the helm and cleaned out the deck box to be fixed and re-organized, but that didn’t happen. Kat tarred some dead eyes. Katie was in the engine room cleaning more of the bilge and Brooke started some deck fixing.

Brooke went off to give Josh a ride to the store and exchange batteries.

Grant, Kat and Sveta went aloft to take down the fore topgallant so we could mend the bold rope. Katie and I did some deck fixing so that we could still cast lines if they needed them and it started raining. After we got the sail down we started to do some mending on it, lots of fun, I’m fast at it.

Bob also came by for awhile.
