Right as we came down from the climbing aloft it started to rain, perfect time on the rain, thanks. We went down to the tween deck and Tsveta showed us how to patch serve. That’s when you get manila and wrap it around a line or a cable with lots of grease and tension. Once we all had a try at that we had another project to start.
We got to take down the jib sails. That was a lot of work and a big learning processes. Move the sheets over to the appropriate side, cut some things down and haul it in. There were three of them. Then we had to coil all the line, name and store it, along with the sails, folding those things up was a lot of work, spreading it out on the tween deck and lining everything up. They are going to a sail maker to have things patched and a general sewing all over.
While we were finishing that up it was decided that the main topsail was to come down as well. Peter, Katie, Maises and eventually Tsveta all went up there to help prep to take it down tomorrow.
And of course it started to rain again. Not much more to report other than the fact that I'm really tired and my brain is far too full to remember much more.
